Robin Edwards trained as a quantity surveyor, later working as an insurance loss adjuster, tent erector and timber salesman amongst other occupations, returning to the construction industry in Western and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East as a Project Manager for the British Aircraft Corporation, during which period he travelled extensively in the remotest quarters of region, like Dhofar and the Rub al Khali.
   Robin has worked in television for thirty years as a writer, producer and director of broadcast and commercial programmes, founding Wyvern Television, a pioneer in the film-to-video revolution, and amongst the most important independent production houses of the 1980’s, winning dozens of international awards for creativity, innovation and excellence.
   In the 1990’s he co-founded Westcountry Television, the ITV regional franchisee for South West England; Canal 2 Televizuena Romana with Capital Cities/ABC the American broadcaster and CanWest Global Communications; Wyvern Rodgers Television with comedian Ted Rodgers and producer/director Brian Izzard; EBC Ltd, a specialist communications company.
   In recent years he was worked throughout Eastern Europe as a television programme consultant developing soaps and situation comedy, as well as acting as communications advisor to major corporations and politicians.
   He now writes full time and has completed and published two novels, with a third in progress.
